After 22 years of marriage, life threw Tammie B a curveball. Illness changed everything, and when the kids left home, so did her place in it. With just $250 in her pocket and whatever she could pack into her car, she drove to New York. She had no plan, no safety net, just the hope of starting over.

For years, she drifted entirely unanchored and unsure. Then one day, she picked up a camera… and everything began to change.

Photography became her lifeline. A way to reclaim herself. It wasn’t about following trends or finding a niche—it was about freedom, expression, and rediscovery. Tammie still doesn’t limit herself to one subject; she chases curiosity wherever it leads. Sometimes that means capturing quiet moments on a city sidewalk. Other times, it means falling (literally) into a lake to get the perfect shot of a water lily.

Her work is playful, soulful, and always evolving—just like her journey.
